Vita-Health Acupuncture & Wellness Center was founded in 2005 by David and Yelena Pakula, husband and wife acupuncturists. David and Yelena are both Florida licensed Acupuncture Physicians who are Board Certified by the NCCAOM as Diplomats of Oriental Medicine. They each earned a Master’s Degree in Oriental Medicine from the Atlantic Institute of Oriental Medicine (ATOM) in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Together, David and Yelena have completed a 150-hour certification training program in advanced Japanese Acupuncture & Moxibustion techniques in the tradition of Kiiko Matsumoto & Master Nagano. They also have received advanced training in Japanese acupuncture in Osaka, Japan, and numerous hours of additional advanced training in the United States with Kiiko Matsumoto. They have completed advanced training in Tung style acupuncture with Palden Carson, M.D., a direct disciple of Master Tung, and are officers of the World Tung Acupuncture Association. They have studied Chinese medicine and philosophy with Daoist master Jeffrey Yuen.
David and Yelena are certified practitioners of ozone therapy. They have both received training in the United States with Frank Schallenberger, M.D. as well as advanced training internationally in the Russian Federation with professor Sergey Petrovich Peretyagin PHD, MD. They are certified members of the American Academy of Ozone Therapy and members of International Ozone Therapy
David and Yelena have received medical training and certification in homeopathy with the Center for Education and Development of Clinical Homeopathy (CEDH). They have received training in classical predictive homeopathy from Dr. Prafull Vijayakar
Dr David and Yelena Pakula are member of the International Society of Homotoxicology and Homeopathy, the American Society of BioRegulatory Medicine.

Dr Yelena Pakula has received her certification in traditional mesotherapy and PRP Rejuvenation therapy from the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine.and Empier Medical
Yelena Pakula was a Medical Doctor in St. Petersburg, Russia, specializing in neurology, osteopathy and acupuncture. She immigrated to the United States in 2000. After receiving her Master’s Degree and Florida acupuncture license, she went on to earn a Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (D.A.O.M.) degree from the Atlantic Institute of Oriental Medicine. Dr. Pakula completed a doctoral capstone on Neurogenic Thoracic Outlet Syndrome.
David Pakula has received advanced training in Jing Fang Classical Chinese herbology with Dr. Feng Shi Lun and Suzanne Robidoux of China. He has received certification training in functional medicine with the School of Applied Functional Medicine.
Dr David and Yelena Pakula have been trained intensively with Dr. Frank Shallenberger a pioneer and leading expert in Ozone therapy in the US. He formed and serves as president of The American Academy of Ozonotherapy. They both certified in Advance Prolozone Ozone ,njections, Ozone Sauna, Major Ozone Autohemotherapy, Ozone Rectal Insufflation, Limb Ozone Bagging, UV Therapy, Ear Insufflation with Ozone (Otozone), They trained also in Russia by international association of ozone therapy.
Dr. Herbert R. Slavin M.D

Dr. Slavin is currently the medical director of Vita-Health. He received his medical degree from Stony Brook University School of Medicine in New York.
Dr. Slavin has been in practice for over 30 years and specializes in internal and integrative medicine. Dr. Slavin established the Institute of Advanced Medicine in Lauderhill, Florida more than 20 years ago.
Dr. Slavin has been a guest lecturer on issues of disease prevention and alternative medicine. He is the host of “Natural Doc Radio.”
